A sea of gardens

Designed by talented architects, parks and gardens with rare and exotic plants and herbs represent the crown of sumptuous villas built by great patrician families who lived in the province of Genoa from the fifteenth century.
Not to be forgotten are the parks of the province of Genoa. The pride of Liguria is the Regional Park of Monte di Portofino, a protected natural oasis on the sea, excellent sample of the Mediterranean flora.

Equally magnificent is the nature of the Regional Park “dell'Aveto” which includes the highest peaks of the Ligurian Apennines. The Beigua Regional Park, nestled between the Stura Orba Valley and the sea, is the largest of Liguria.
Behind Cogoleto, on the slopes of the hill of Beuca the botanical garden of Villa Beuca has been opened: it’s rich in Mediterranean and local plants at risk of extinction.
Also in the west, in Pratorondanino a few kilometers from Campo Ligure, you can visit the Pratorondanino Botanical Garden, created to protect wild orchids and other plant species of alpine and apennine flora.
