On a panoramic hill, halfway to the east of the city, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Olivette stands. Ancient documents prove that, already in 1607, here there was a chapel dedicated to St. Mary the Virgin: sailors and all those in need used to address their prayers to her.

Today, in the Sanctuary, many ex-voto and bequests dedicated to her are kept. Inside the shrine there is also a nineteenth century organ, used for the organ festival which takes place in Arenzano in summer.
