Artificial reservoir, it actually consists of two lakes, Pian Giacopiane and Pian Sapeio divided by a dam, showing, halfway between the two shores, a temple. The creation of the dam, bringing as a result the creation of two artificial lakes, dates backt to the 1920's, in the fascist period, and fits into the broader framework of public works of those years. At an altitude of about 1000m above sea level, the lakes can be reached by deviating from the road that connects Borzonasca to Rezzoaglio; they appear as two blue gems set among fir, larch and beech forests of the surrounding Apennines.
